Septicaemia after colonoscopy in patients with cirrhosis.
Department of Medicine, St James's University Hospital, Leeds.

These and two similar reported cases indicate that giving prophylactic antibiotics to patients with cirrhosis undergoing colonoscopy should be considered, particularly when the cirrhosis is advanced.
