Clinical presentation

An 85-year-old man with a history of right tonsilar tumour presented with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. On admission, physical examinations disclosed several lymph nodes in the neck and the axilla. An upper gastrointestinal endoscopy as part of the investigation for anaemia showed unusual findings in the oesophagus (fig 1Go) and in the stomach (fig 2Go). Endoscopic ultrasonography with a catheter probe on the gastric wall was carried out (fig 3Go).
