The patient had multiple lymphomatous polyposis (MLP) due to the involvement of gastrointestinal tract in mantle cell lymphoma.

Endoscopic ultrasonography with a catheter probe on the gastric wall (fig 3) showed a prominently thickened subepithelial layer. Microscopic examination showed that monotonous small lymphoma cells infiltrated the lamina propria in the endoscopic gastric biopsy specimen (see answer fig 1Go). Immunohistochemical staining of both tonsilar biopsy and endoscopic biopsy specimens confirmed mantle cell lymphoma. The patient has been followed up and has received three courses of chemotherapy during the 19 months since the initial episode.
