Infection of ascitic fluid in patients with hepatic cirrhosis

    Abstract

    Infection of the ascitic fluid is a treatable complication which can easily escape diagnosis. The clinical features are recorded in this paper. The use of a special trocar and cannula may reduce the risk of infection after paracentesis.
