We thank Kurien et al for their interest1 in our article.2 Nevertheless, it has to be pointed out that the Sheffield unit did not contribute to the 2007 nationwide UK audit. This is regrettable, because if centres with specialised units had contributed, we would be in a stronger position to debate the value of specialised units.
