Integrated procedures for accelerating, deepening, and leading genetic inquiry: A first application on human muscle secretome
2023, Molecular Genetics and MetabolismThe clinical relevance and mechanism of skeletal muscle wasting
2021, Clinical NutritionCitation Excerpt :Proinflammatory cytokines increase is well known as a hallmark in acute critical illness and cancer-associated cachexia. TNF-α was believed to have an important role in muscle wasting observed in tumor mice [127]. However, TNF-α bears a systemic effect on multiple cells, including macrophage and endothelium, and it can amplify the inflammation cascade by eliciting the release of other cytokines, such as IL-1 and IL-6 [128].
