Integrin α6 targeted positron emission tomography imaging of hepatocellular carcinoma in mouse models
2019, Journal of Controlled ReleaseCitation Excerpt :Integrin α6 promotes the migration, invasion and survival of tumor cells by activating the PI-3K/Akt and HIF-1 pathways [12,16]. Many groups provided evidences about integrin α6 overexpression in HCC [17–22] and the prognostic value of integrin α6 expression in HCC patients [16]. Knockout of integrin α6β1 expression reverses the transformed phenotype of HCC cells [21].

2011, GastroenterologyCitation Excerpt :A P value of less than .05 was considered statistically significant. It previously has been reported that integrin α6 messenger RNA (mRNA) is overexpressed in high-grade HCC.22 Here, we aimed to determine the role of α6 in a larger series of HCC patients.
