    We report a case of an unusual pattern of dysphagia in an 82 year old man. He first presented in January 2005 with a six month history of dysphagia and heartburn. Following the diagnosis of an adenocarcinoma of the oesophagus he declined surgery as well as chemo- and radiotherapy.
