We thank Turner and colleagues1 for their interest in our case report2 and for sharing their experience of colonic endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). They add to the growing body of data attesting to the safety of achieving mucosal lift using a mixture of gelofusin, epinephrine and indigo carmine dye. We are surprised, however, that they used submucosal injection to deal with lesions as small as 2 mm, and would question whether removal of such diminutive polyps justifies the term EMR.
