I read with interest the review by Markus Neurath and Simon Travis on mucosal healing in IBD.1 There is an error in their figure 1 illustrating an example of calculation of the Crohn's disease endoscopic index of severity (CDEIS), and we think that even if this may just be a typing error it deserves correction and some comment. We agree with the authors that calculating the CDEIS is complex and requires careful reading on how to use the score and training of the investigator.
