AB Secretory diarrhoea continues to be a major clinical problem worldwide. It is now recognised that the enteric nervous system plays an important role in the pathogenesis of enterotoxin mediated intestinal secretion, which has resulted in the identification of novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of acute watery diarrhoea.
