The field made important progresses in the last years. The complexity of the pathophysiology of NASH is better understood. Multiple non-invasive criculating and imaging biomarkers have been tested. The importance of lifestyles has been reconised and several drugs are tested in clinical trials. This review adresses the challenges that face health care professionals in the management of NASH patients.
