Probabilities are based on a scale of anti-HCV prevalence from 0.8% to 2% and on the number of sustained percutaneous injuries from one to nine (in multiples of three). The three shaded areas highlight the probabilities based on the estimated prevalences calculated for the three specialty groupings (0.8% cardiothoracic/cardiology, 1.4% orthopaedics/rheumatology, 2.0% general surgery/ENT) and for all patients in all specialty groupings (1.4%).
