All differences were significant: Kruskal-Wallis p<0.001 for generations and cohorts; Mann-Whitney U, p<0.001 for G1 versus G2, G2 versus G3, and G1 versus G3, and C1 versus C2, C2 versus C1, and C1 versus C3. This clearly could be due to bias of ascertainment and truncation effects of age at death in G2 and G3 compared with G1.
