*In three cases, biopsy specimens from 2 cm above the Z-line were not available for evaluation in absolute number but did not contain eosinophils in the initial analysis. Biopsy specimens taken at the Z-line were not available for evaluation in absolute number in six cases; five of these were classified as mild, and in one case there were no eosinophils in the initial analysis.
