Chymotrypsinogen B1 (Ctrb1) encodes an inactive precursor of the chymotrypsinogen enzyme that is produced in the pancreas and secreted into the gastrointestinal tract (Tomita et al., 1989; Hou et al., 1993). Glycoprotein m6b (Gpm6b) appears to be involved in neurite extension, as treatment of cultured cerebellar neurons with inhibitory GPMB1 antibodies interferes with this process (Lagenaur et al., 1992).
