2020, Archives of Medical ResearchThe expression of fgfr3 in the zebrafish head
2018, Gene Expression PatternsCitation Excerpt :The fgfr3 expression detected in the brain of 16 weeks old zebrafish is in agreement with previously published data (Topp et al., 2008). Fgfr3 expression in the telencephalon (Belluardo et al., 1997) and other regions of the brain (hippocampus, cerebellum, brainstem) in young adult rats has also been described, including expression in glial cells (Cinaroglu et al., 2005; Peters et al., 1993), likely in astrocytes (Miyake et al., 1996), as well as in the subventricular zone (Frinchi et al., 2008). The presence of FGFR3 transcripts in human epidermis has previously been reported (Delezoide et al., 1998; Johnson et al., 2000; Komi-Kuramochi et al., 2005; Rice et al., 2000) in the suprabasal layer, with weaker signal in skin appendages such as hair follicles, sweat glands, and blood vessels (Takenaka et al., 2002).
